The International Graduate Forum has just ranked the MBA program from Jacksonville University among the 100 top accredited programs within the country; something that the establishment couldn’t be more proud of. In order to rank the schools, the forum had to go through a thorough screening process during which the reputation and effectiveness of the courses were taken into account, compared and then ranked.
Ranking Universities within North America
The rankings were based on a few key factors which all play a role in whether a student will benefit from the course or not, and these include; faculty members who have Pd.D.s, the cost of the course, the student-to-faculty ratio, the size of the classes and the accreditation of the institution, among others. While this is a rigorous examination of the MBA’s being offered around the country, it is important that the forum get a good understanding of the schools that they are ranking so that they provide prospective students with the information they need to make a sound decision with regards to the course in which they enroll.
The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business
In order to be able to rank institutions, the forum looks at schools that have obtained accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business – an international organization with strict standards concerning quality. The Jacksonville University Davis College of Business obtained its accreditation through AACSB in 2010.
According to the dean of the Davis College of Business, Dr. Don Capener, “Only about 5% of business schools worldwide maintain AACSB accreditation. This 2012 study found JU to be toward the top of that elite group.” This award makes it clear that JU is doing something right, and this prize might just open its doors to many other interested students looking to obtain their MBA through the appropriate institution.
